These Terms explain how GoJoin can be used by venues, staff, members, and applicants. They are written to match the service as it works today and should be read together with the Privacy page.

Key points

GoJoin is a platform

GoJoin provides membership application, payment, support, staff dashboard, and digital wallet pass tools for venues. The venue remains responsible for its membership rules, eligibility criteria, pricing, approvals, venue access decisions, and member relationship.

Use accurate information

Members, applicants, staff, and venue administrators must provide information that is current, accurate, and not misleading. Applications may be delayed, rejected, corrected, suspended, or cancelled if information is incomplete, inaccurate, fraudulent, or not supported by required verification.

Payments use Stripe

Card payments are processed by Stripe. GoJoin stores payment provider references needed for reconciliation, receipts, renewals, support, and dispute handling, but does not store raw card numbers.

Wallet passes are digital records

Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes are a convenience layer for membership display and verification. A wallet pass does not override the venue's membership rules, expiry dates, payment status, age requirements, or access decisions.

Detailed terms

1. Agreement to these terms

By using GoJoin, creating an account, submitting an application, managing a venue, processing a payment, contacting support, or adding a wallet pass, you agree to these Terms. If you use GoJoin on behalf of a venue or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that venue or organisation.

2. Who these terms apply to

These Terms apply to visitors, members, membership applicants, venue staff, venue administrators, support users, and anyone else who accesses GoJoin. Some features are intended for venues and staff, while others are intended for members and applicants.

3. Venue responsibilities

Venues are responsible for configuring membership types, pricing, approval requirements, identity verification settings, staff access, wallet pass content, email and SMS content, venue branding, and any venue-specific terms. Venues must only collect information they are entitled to collect and must use GoJoin in a way that complies with their legal, regulatory, privacy, and operational obligations.

4. Member and applicant responsibilities

Members and applicants are responsible for submitting accurate information, keeping contact details up to date, choosing the correct membership option, meeting the venue's eligibility requirements, and using wallet passes or member links only for their own membership unless the venue allows otherwise.

5. Staff accounts and access

Venue staff must keep account credentials, staff codes, PINs, and two-factor methods secure. Staff access must only be used for legitimate venue operations. Actions such as viewing ID documents, updating member records, approving applications, impersonating staff sessions, or changing settings may be permission controlled and logged.

6. Membership applications and approvals

Submitting an application does not guarantee membership approval. A venue may require payment, identity verification, manual review, additional checks, or further information before creating or approving a membership. GoJoin may show pending, rejected, approved, renewed, expired, or suspended states based on venue configuration and available records.

7. Identity verification

Some venues require ID documents to verify eligibility or identity. Uploaded ID documents are stored securely on AWS infrastructure located in Australia and are deleted after 7 days even if the document is not viewed or the application is incomplete. Authorised staff may receive time-limited view access, and document views may be recorded in an audit log.

8. Payments, renewals, and refunds

Payment amounts, membership fees, renewal rules, billing schedules, and refund decisions are generally set by the venue. Some memberships may support one-off payments or automatic renewal. If automatic renewal is enabled, the displayed payment and renewal flow will determine what is charged and when. Refunds, reversals, failed payments, chargebacks, or membership cancellations may require review by the venue, Stripe, GoJoin support, or the relevant payment provider.

9. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights, guarantees, remedies, or protections that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Where GoJoin is permitted to limit liability, it does so only to the extent allowed by law.

10. Digital wallet passes

Wallet passes may be generated for temporary cards, active members, test passes, or venue-specific pass templates. Pass display can depend on Apple, Google, device settings, network access, venue configuration, membership data, and provider availability. GoJoin may update, replace, expire, suspend, or regenerate passes when membership, venue, or template data changes.

11. Acceptable use

You must not misuse GoJoin, interfere with service operation, attempt unauthorised access, upload unlawful or harmful content, bypass permissions, scrape or copy platform data without permission, submit fraudulent applications, impersonate another person, abuse support channels, or use GoJoin in a way that harms members, venues, GoJoin, payment providers, or connected services.

12. Content and intellectual property

GoJoin owns or licenses the platform, software, workflows, interface, designs, templates, code, and service content. Venues remain responsible for content and assets they upload, including logos, pass artwork, email images, support information, venue terms, and custom form questions. By uploading content, a venue gives GoJoin permission to host, process, display, and use that content as needed to provide the service.

13. Privacy and data handling

GoJoin handles personal information according to the Privacy page and the service's configured data retention rules. Using GoJoin may involve processing membership applications, identity documents, support requests, account records, wallet pass records, email logs, audit logs, and payment provider references.

14. Service availability

GoJoin aims to provide a reliable service, but availability can be affected by maintenance, provider outages, network issues, browser or device behaviour, payment provider interruptions, wallet provider changes, venue configuration, or events outside GoJoin's reasonable control.

15. Security

GoJoin uses technical and operational safeguards designed to protect the service. Users and venues also play an important role by keeping credentials secure, limiting staff access to appropriate people, reviewing audit logs where available, and contacting support promptly if they suspect unauthorised access or incorrect activity.

16. Suspension or restriction

GoJoin may restrict, suspend, or remove access to accounts, staff sessions, venues, applications, wallet passes, or platform features where needed to protect security, prevent misuse, investigate suspected fraud, comply with law, respond to payment issues, or maintain service integrity.

17. Support

Support requests can be submitted through the Contact page. GoJoin may keep support messages, replies, status changes, and related account or venue details so support issues can be investigated, replied to, and audited.

18. Changes to these terms

GoJoin may update these Terms as the service changes. Where a change is material, GoJoin will take reasonable steps to make the updated Terms available. Continuing to use GoJoin after updated Terms are published means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Contact

Questions about these Terms, membership records, payments, privacy, wallet passes, support requests, or venue access can be raised through GoJoin support. Some questions may need to be answered by the venue because the venue controls membership rules, approval decisions, pricing, and access.

Legal review

These Terms are a practical product terms page and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before being relied on as final legal terms.
